Gajadhar ka wo khura-dura aur rukhra haath jab Ritu ke narm aur makhmali gale par laga, toh Ritu ke poore jism mein ek bijli si daud gayi. Wo thanda paani ka glass Ritu ke haath se chhoot kar niche gir gaya, par dono mein se kisi ne dhyaan nahi diya.
"Malkin, ye bukhar dawai se nahi jayega... iske liye toh purana ilaaj hi kaam ayega," Gajadhar ne apni gandi aur bhari awaaz mein phusphusate hue kaha. Uska chehra Ritu ke itne paas tha ki Ritu ko uski garam saansein apne chehre par mehsoos ho rahi thhin.
